This is a series of pen and ink drawings. I allowed the formations of splattered ink and free-flowing hand movements to dictate the composition. I then filled in the spaces with lines that followed the forms of the ink, giving them a mesmerizing effect.
Inktober is a public drawing challenge that provides a new prompt for every day each October. This was my first time participating.
This drawing was an experiment in details and skin texture. I ended up creating multiple versions with different colouring and turned them into an animated GIF.
Similar to Inktober, Huevember provides prompts for each day of November, though these prompts are different hues.
